C. Melchers has taken the pioneering step in providing CNG vehicle conversion technology to the Singapore market. Operating on the notions of “Save Cost and Environment with Safe Technology” C. Melchers has brought the technology of natural gas fuel and benefits of a clear environment to both passenger and fleet vehicle owners.
Under the brand name and logo www.cng.com.sg™ C. Melchers established a franchise scheme for other workshops in Singapore. This allows www.cng.com.sg™ to offer island-wide CNG conversions that meet the highest safety and quality levels according to www.cng.com.sg™ standards, which strictly follow German Transport Law and Singaporean technical reference TR 11:2003. C.Melchers invites interested workshop owners to contact them if they are interested to become part of the growing brand: www.cng.com.sg™ – Safe, Save, Clean.
In addition to having franchise partners C. Melchers also operates an own flagship CNG conversion workshop. The CNG conversion workshop is located in the west of Singapore. The workshop operates on approximately 10.000 sqft, with 10 hoists. Currently the workshop has a capacity of about 70 conversions per month. C. Melchers is proud to say that we operate the only dedicated CNG conversion workshop in Singapore, allowing us to focus on the quality and safety of our CNG conversions. |

Terms and Conditions
1. Conversion and Works
Compressed natural gas (CNG) conversion and associated workmanship will be undertaken in accordance with international installation and safety standards. Any claim for faulty workmanship is limited solely to rectification ofthe faulty workmanship, free of charge. No other claim is admissible. Any claim of faulty workmanship must be made within 7 days from the date of CNG conversion.
The Customer confirms that no articles of personal property have been left in the vehicle and that neither C. Melchers GMBH & Co. (C. Melchers), its employees, agents, representatives nor any person connected with C. Melchers is responsible for ensuring the same.
2. Use of CNG-Converted Vehicle
The Customer understands that the CNG equipment is installed for use under normal driving conditions. C. Melchers will not be liable for any damage to the CNG converted vehicle if the vehicle is used inunusual conditions such as race or rallies, in places not meant for vehicular traffic and/or beyond the performance ability of the CNG equipment as specified by C. Melchers.
“CNG equipment” refers to the:
- CNG Cylinder
- CNG Cylinder Valve
- CNG Regulator/Reducer unit
- CNG Refilling Valve
- CNG Pressure Gauge
- CNG ECU
- CNG Gas Injector
- CNG Petrol Solenoid Valve
- CNG Switch Over/Fuel Selector Unit
- CNG Mounting Brackets
- CNG MAP Sensor
- CNG Wiring Harness
- CNG High Pressure Seamless Pipe
3. Payment
Payment can be made via cash or credit card only. If any of the charges are unpaid for 30 days after request for payment, the workshop may refer these charges to a third party collection agency for collection and customer will pay the relevant legal fees if required. All charges for CNG conversion, including labor and materials furnished or due, are required with the deliveryofthe vehicle or post CNG conversion before the expiration of 1 day, after notice that the conversion has been completed.
4. Storage
If the vehicle is not collected within 2 days after notice is givenfor collection of the vehicle, a storage charge of $50.00 per day will be made for each day or part thereof thereafter.
5. Delivery
C. Melchers, its employees, agents, representatives or any person connected with C. Melchers are authorized to deliver the vehicle described herein or any of its contents to any person presenting this receipt.
6. Insurance
C. Melchers, its employees, agents, representatives or any person connected with C. Melchers is not liable in any dispute which may arise between the registered owner of the vehicle and any insurance company for any work carried out in relation to CNG conversion.
7. Indemnity
The Customer is hereby notified that the vehicle is not insured or protected to the amount of the actual cash value thereof, or otherwise, against loss occasioned by theft, fire, and vandalism while the property remains onthe premises of C.Melchers.
The Customer agrees not to holdC. Melchers liable for any loss, damage or injury to the vehicle due to third party negligence.
8. Warranty
The replacement of any defective CNG equipment (except for the gas cylinder) under warranty is free within 12 months from the date of conversion upon the presentation of this receipt to C. Melchers. Warranty of the gas cylinder is valid within 5 years from the date of installation. As mandated by the Land Transport Authority, the CNG equipment may not be
transferred from one vehicle to another under any circumstances. The transfer of CNG equipment from one vehicle to another will have the effect of rendering the warranty void and invalid.
The Customer understands that CNG conversion undertaken on the vehicle may void the warranty of the vehicle. Accordingly, the Customer agrees not tohold C. Melchers, its employees, agents, representatives or any person connected with C. Melchers liable for any breach of warranty or insurance relating to the vehicle.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Customer agrees that C. Melchers’ liability for any defect of the CNG equipment is limited to the replacement of defective parts pursuant to the warranty stated in Clause 7 above and further agrees that C. Melchers will not be liable for any loss or damage howsoever arising whether from breach of contract or tort or anyother cause of action from the use of the CNG equipment, including but not limited to damage to property, any indirect or consequential loss, any loss of income, loss of revenue, any form of capital depreciation, loss of time, inconvenience or other related expenses such as expenses for petrol, CNG, telephone bills, travel expenses, lodging expenses or car rental. |
