First CNG cars in Vietman converted by C. Melchers

Vietnam is a country that boasts over 2,000 billion cubic meters in natural gas reserves – As such natural gas would seem to be the fuel of choice for transportation usage. C. Melchers has seen the potential of this young dynamic economy, coupled with ample natural gas reserves to support and fast track the NGV industry and is therefore working very closely with the state owned Oil & Gas company: PetroVietnam.

C. Melchers is very proud to be the first company to introduce Natural Gas driven Vehicles to Vietnam. In the beginning of September 2009, C. Melchers sent their technicians to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to convert the first two cars to CNG bi-fuel - Toyota Innova Taxis. The conversion not only entailed the technical aspect, but included theory and training lessons for the Vietnamese staff as well.
C. Melchers was selected for this task due to their relentless pursuit of safety in CNG and providing well certified products and service. The conversion systems used are from OMVL and Type 1 cylinders from Cilbras – White Martins.

With PetroVietnam actively pushing for investment into CNG, including projects to invest over US $250 million to set up 350 CNG stations in the country, Vietnam is an exciting place to watch and a great partner to work with. Therefore C. Melchers will be introducing their franchise scheme cng.com.sg to Vietnam and transforming it into www.cng.com.vn™.
